Tracks of my years

Sunday, March 6th, 2011

I’m a big Ken Bruce fan, no denying that. Radio 2 is the daily listen in the office! One of the features that stand out is “Tracks of my years”. This is where a different person each week picks two tracks daily that have special meaning to them or just stand out for them!

So these are my tracks of my years all in one post, and a short description as to why they are in here! There are so many more I could include but these are the first ten that came into my head, so we will go with these…

Music Growing Up

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

The music that you listen to while growing up greatly effects your listening habits in later life I believe. Bborn in 1985 most of the music I grew up on was that of standard 90’s chart affairs Spice Girls, Another Level, East 17 etc etc its not until later in life you start to explore music more if it interests you!

When you are young you can’t even effort to buy music and we didn’t have the internet back then so you had to get by with your parents tastes…so this post is to show what music I picked out back then and can still remember to this day and I guess it has an impact on what I listen to now!

Shout to my dad for being the music man of the family!

Old Song of the Week 15

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Bit predictable, but a tough choice non the less… it had to be something MJ releated. I’ll go with something off his first solo album “Got to be there” released in 1971! This really shows of his voice…

Not my favorite track by Jackson but thought I’d go for something not so obvious!

Michael Jackson

Shocking news will always be a true legend in my eyes … first album I ever remember experiencing was Bad… dancing on my bed when I was about 5 or something silly like that true legend… Cannot see anyone else in the future coming close to touching his talent both as a singer and performer! True legend RIP!

What ever happened in his later year you cannot doubt that this guy changed music in a big big way.
