The Sponsored Silence

Ok so it was my sponsored silence on Friday and I’m not going to lie I failed miserably! Around 4 hours in it all went wrong…

Yes that’s right I only managed 4 hours going for my lunch break kind of threw me. What caused the break in silence was someone very clever left the toaster on in the kitchen at work causing it to smoke out the kitchen wasn’t quite on fire…. Anyway I thought it was best to warn my work colleagues of the catastrophe about to occur by announcing “Don’t worry there is no fire…”. Everyone looks at me in shock and that was that!

If anyone has ever tried a sponsored silence its not an easy thing to do requires bags and bags of concentration. Sitting at the comfort of your desk its fine take yourself out of a “normal” situation and it all gets a bit harder. Visited a few shops in silence (writing what I needed to say on paper) its funny how different people react when you don’t speak … in fact a really intresting insight into what some people must experience on a day to day basis! Eye opener! Cheers to the guy in subway for the discount which went into their Red Nose Day collection tin!

Don’t think I will be trying one of these again in a hurry but was quite enjoyable and was all in a good cause for Red Nose Day and you can still sponsor me at my dedicated sponsor page if you think I deserve it!
