I was born in the wrong decade I’m pretty sure of this. I love nothing more than some good 80’s music especially when it comes to older RnB. Cannot remember how I originally stumbled across this guys mixes – think I was searching for a track and I came across it in the track listing from one of his mixes and downloaded the rest is history.
They really do not make them like they used to “sounding old” but if you download any of these classic vybz mixed by a guy going by the name of DJ Rav this just becomes so apparent! You also notice how many samples the “RnB” artists of today take from the tunes from back in the day.
These mixes never leave my ipod its nice to be able to be taken back to era that I never got to live fully (shame I don’t get to party to this stuff). Quite why or how I’m so into this type of music I will never know there wasn’t much of it around when I was younger but its surprising how many of these songs I know and I have no idea how?
Anyway you can get them via his facebook group/groups or his clickcaster page!
