Was not a fan of their first single, but after initially hearing this on Radio 2 on Friday I was instantly hooked. This is a great piece of pop music and with one hell of a catchy chorus this should result in big things for these three girls!!
Man it has been a while since I posted anything on. If I am honest I haven’t heard anything that has really moved me in a long while, fresh music definitely seems to be drying up! Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place!!
Anyway I heard this a couple of weeks back and I’m in love with the production on this Salaam Remi actually kills it with this IMO…The Drop!!
I am in love with track, massive fan of these two artist can’t wait for any new material to drop from either of these two. The “anything’s” on this are my highlight I think I could listen to that part of the chorus along for 3 minutes and 3.35, the rest of track isn’t too bad either!
Pro Green is shaping up to release his second album ‘At Your Inconvenience’, and if the below is anything to go by, it is going to be special. His 3rd verse on ‘Today I Cried’ (watch below) is pretty deep…
After the jump is the album sampler which from the snippets doesn’t feature a weak track – really looking forward to this. The album drops 31st October!
The version featuring Wretch 32 went straight to number one. Here is a stripped back version featuring the vocals of Josh Kumra, really impressive stuff!
No doubt from giving this a couple of spins that this has the potential to be absolutely massive…The hook on this sung by Emeli Sande is easily the biggest this year and we have had a few! I slept on his first album so really looking forward to the second, due October time after hearing this! Also take note of the production the strings are serious!
Heard this a while back and didn’t realise it was getting a proper release….the live session version from Maida Vale sounds absolutely sick! More strings (see Pro Green post)
Here is the video/radio edit which is out now on Itunes. I’m in love with the chick dancing in the video!
Last month has been crazy busy, my blog game has been slacking incredibly. With a mixture of Holidays/Work/Freelance the blog has taken a back seat. Thought I better check back in with what has been going on in my world. After a brilliant couple of days in Devon at the start of the month with lots of exploring cycling/walking/swimming/snapping & pubs in the evening – a perfect way to relax and switch off from work which has been mad this year.
On my return I threw my photo’s I’d taken with my point and shoot camera through Aperture and with a bit of work I think some of the results are excellent. I’ve always enjoyed taking snaps and after producing a set of photos I was really pleased with, with a point and shoot I decided it might be time to take up Photography more seriously! So yesterday I ordered a Cannon 550d DSLR. So here starts the steep learning curve of taking some ‘proper’ shots – but I am really looking forward to it. I will no doubt be posting some of the results in the coming months!
With that and work commitments music has had to take a bit of a back seat, that’s not to say I’ve not been keep track of what is happening musically…here are two cuts that dropped over the weekend that have stood out for me…
Also with the iminent release of Watch the Throne, Ed Sheeran +, Wretch 32 Black & White and later in the year J.Cole’s debut and Drake Sophomore album, the latter part of 2011 looks to be an exciting time musically, the start has been a bit quiet…
This track is massive, this got the same reaction as when I heard Yasmin’s On My Own it sounds like throwback material but still sounds fresh! This is out August 15th nice to see her solo material finally coming to light after numerous features!
Spotted Pinboard Blog
Love this, I spotted this over at thehouseofcoxhead earlier. This is too funky to be released in 2011 with so much shit around its so refreshing to hear something with a bit of funk. I had the pleasure of seeing Root Manuva earlier in the years he adds a bit of his legendary UK flavour to this…love it!
